Winners at Stockholm International Film Festival 2018

This friday 15th november was the Prize Award ceremony of Stockholm film Festival. The prize award ceremony was at Social At Six in Stockholm
Here it is the Winners. Congratulations to all Winners at Stockholm International Film Festival. 
The Brazilian director Beatriz Seigner is the Winner this year´s Stockholm Impact Award for her wonderful film about refugee story "Los Silencios". Stockholm International Film Festival and the City of Stockholm founded the award in 2015, and the winning director receives one million SEK. The prize was designed by the Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. 

Actress Alba August is 2018’s Stockholm Rising Star.
Best actor : Victor Polster for his role in Girl.
Best Script: Niadine Labaki for the film Carpernaum

Best Film: Firecrackers by Jasmin Mozaffari.
Best Director: All good by Eva Trobisch.
Best Debut: Skate Kitchen by Crystal Moselle.
Best Script: Capernaum by Nadine Labaki, Jihad Hojeily, Michelle Keserwany, Georges Kabbaz and Khaled Mouzanar
Best Actor: Victor Polster for Girl
Best Actress: Michaela Kurimsky for Firecrackers
Best Cinematography: Hiroshi Okuyama for Jesus

Stockholm Lifetime Achievement Award: Mary Harron

Best Short Film: The Judgement by Raymund Ribay Gutierrez
1 KM FILM SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT: Julia Thelin
1 KM FILM HONORARY MENTION: Ernst De Geer
FIPRESCI Award for Best Film: Cold War by Pawel Pawlikowski
Best short film Pitch 2018: Disa Östrand
Author and music journalist Ametist Azordegan hosted the awards ceremony, and the rapper Naod performed live on stage.

The 29th edition of the Stockholm International Film Festival has begun.


The 29th edition of the Stockholm International Film Festival has begun. Anna Odell, Mikael Persbrandt and actor and actress of opening film X&Y were in the cinema during the opening ceremony at Cinema Skandia in Stockholm. The film X&Y have world premiere at the festival.

Director Mary Harron was also during the ceremony. She is in Stockholm to recieve the 2018 Stockholm Achievement Award. 

The festival director Git Scheynius, Anna Odell, actress and director of X&Y and Jonas Naddebo culture representative of the City of Stockholm inaugurated the festival. 

Many guests attended the opening ceremony. The film X&Y was showed after the inauguration.
