The celebration of the Easter Vigil at St. Erik's Cathedral in Stockholm was solemn and presided over by Cardinal Anders Arborelius. Many parishioners attended the vigil, which began at 9:00 p.m. and ended almost at midnight. Baptisms and confirmations took place during the celebration.
The Easter Vigil is the night of Holy Saturday when the Easter Vigil Mass is celebrated. It´s the first celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a very important and sacred night in the Catholic Church.
The Easter Vigil reminds us that Jesus, with his resurrection, illuminates our lives and gives us hope that his resurrection will help us be a seed in the earth to proclaim his word and build a world of love, peace, and humility.
It was a night of great religious fervor, where the light of Christ illuminated our lives and the hope of the world, especially in this year, which is the Jubilee Year with the motto: "Pilgrims of Hope."
