Yesterday the Swedish Oscar Committe announced the film to the Academy Award nominations. This year the desicion was that The film A pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence by Roy Andersson is Sweden´s candidate for the Academy Award nominations.
Roy Andersson attended the press conference at the Swedish Film Institute in Stockholm. He was very happy after that the Swedish Oscar Committe announced that his film was chosen to the Academy Award Nomination. Roy anderssons film is also selected for Europe film Award – People’s Choice Award together with the film Force Majeure by Ruben Östlund. Once again Roy Andersson and Ruben Östlund are nominated to get an Award. Congratularions to both!
