The Stockholm Visionary Award 2023 is presented to one of our time's most daring visionaries. Her cinematic explorations of power dynamics have shed light on the darkest corners of passion and desire. Her films encourage the audience to reconsider their own beliefs and prejudices. This year's recipient is a director who has never accepted taboos or the idea that certain subjects are not suitable for the silver screen. Women's bodies and sexual awakening are a recurring theme. Her stripped-down aesthetics and raw expression have served as inspiration for an entire generation of female filmmakers, making her a true pioneer with a consistently challenging feminist perspective.
